What is a Keto Diet?

A ketogenic diet (or as it is usually called) keto diet, is a healthy eating meal plan that involves fresh produce to improve your health. It is proven through many studies that doing a keto diet can help reduce your weight and have benefits decreasing the chances of having popular diseases rising among us today. Usually, a keto diet would associate with low - fat ingredients and helps with weight loss and strengthens your body against potential diseases.

What will a ketogenic diet normally help with?

  1. Weight Loss:

    • The high protein consumption and fewer carbs can lead to a better program for losing weight than a low fat diet because of the produce that you are eating for your periodic meals.

    • This diet is better than most as it isn’t necessary to count calories or even track the amount of food you are consuming on a day to day basis.

Decreased chances of diabetes and other heart problems:

      • This diet will help you lose fat which can be closely related to heart diseases. Just remember to consume high protein foods!

    • Cancer: (example research)

      •  With the high intake of protein and less carbs, this diet is researched and proven to help as a cure for some cancer as it can slow the growth of tumors in a body.

  2. Keep in mind that everyone’s body is different! :)

How can you indulge in a “keto diet”?

One way to start on this kind of diet is staying away from sugary or high calorie foods. Even though fruits are healthy, they can be high in carbs so make sure you are limiting that kind of consumption if you are planning to take part in your own keto diet. Again, there are all different ways you can do a ketogenic diet, but make sure to make it compliant with your body type and make the process enjoyable! Use high protein vegetables and add them into healthy meals! Have fun with your own unique ketogenic diet! :)
