  1. Beauty practices - Herbal Facial Steaming 

Facial steaming is a simple and easy skincare routine that you can practice at the luxury of your home that cleanses, nourishes, and makes your skin refreshed. A simple steaming can open up your pores and helps loosen any buildup of dirt for a deeper cleanse. It can also easily help remove the black heads. Also, this opening up of pores can allow the release of bacteria and dirt stuck in the pores making your skin clear and glowing.


We are sharing a beautiful simple practice using rose buds

1 cup rose buds

Full kettle of boiling water.

Large bowl

Towel


Place rosebuds in the bowl and pour the boiling water over them.

Place the towel over your head and lean your face over the bowl about 12-18inches away.

Absorb the vapours and steam in the breathing and face steam.’

Do this for 5 mins to benefit from the rose gentle uplifting and healing properties of self loving.

Why rose buds? 

The natural oil retained in the rose buds and moisturizing. They can also  reduce redness and calm the skin. In herbal practice they are sheetha virya or cold in potency and have astringent and antibacterial properties. They are ideal for people with oily and acne-prone skin types. Rose extracts are high in vitamin C so they help to stimulate collagen and are high in vitamin E so it's very moisturizing.
