Traditionally called as ‘Chukku Malli Kappi’, this dried ginger and coriander-based drink is ideal for spring season.

Beautiful spring comes along with seasonal allergies. The biggest spring allergy trigger is pollen.

Our immune system mistakenly sees the pollen as a danger and releases antibodies that attack the allergens. That leads to the release of chemicals called histamines into the blood. Histamines trigger the runny nose, itchy eyes, and other symptoms. There is no specific cure for these allergies, but you can take steps to curb or prevent the spring allergies.

Here I am sharing a traditional recipe which can prevent and reduce the symptoms of spring allergies.

It is a south Indian recipe which is spicy and sweet. It possesses rich aroma of herbs and spices used in it.

Though Chukku kaapi can be taken as a preventive spring drink, it has some very specific indications.
