Benefits of Rose for skin & Body

We talk about skin types when considering various skin products. When it comes to Rose, it is perfect for all skin types. Rose works really well for dry skin and it has incredible deep moisturizing properties.

We use Rose for our skincare needs in various forms like - Adding dried roses, rose water toner, rosehip oil, or rose essential oil. All these are utterly heavenly and soothing for the skin.

When asked about my favorite choice of essential oil, I always goes for Rose.

Rose essential oils is the best for moisturizing the skin and it can also prevent moisture loss.

Due to the skin hydrating properties, roses protect the skin against UV damage and is perfect for Summer. It also delays the appearance of wrinkles when age advances. Rose Oil is also known to boost healthy collagen production which will delay the appearance of wrinkles.

Rose oil is also known for antiseptic, bactericidal and anti-inflammatory properties. As a result rose oil has shown healing powers in skin conditions like eczema and allergic rashes.

In every Indian households, the skin lightening and rejuvenating properties of roses is put to good use. The traditional benefits of rose were in the form of rose water to aid skincare or heal wounds. Overnight soaking of dried rose petals in water and washing the face with it in the morning was an early morning ritual that was followed.

A research study published on Food Science & Nutrition showed anti‐inflammatory activity of rose petal extract (Rosa gallica). Rose helps in soothing the acne, pimples, and itchiness.

The astringent properties of roses help in unclogging pores and remove dirt, oil, and sebum from the skin thereby restoring its natural pH level.

Rose powder or water is a life-saver for oily skins as it balances skin moisture and controls the production of excess oil. It is super hydrating for skin increasing water content compared to the skin oils.

In addition to all these amazing skin benefits, they are mood booster and helps relieve stress and anxiety.
