Healthy Breakfast -Rice Patties

Rice is a popular Indian Ayurvedic Cuisine. Cooked Rice generally pacifies Vata.

Here’s a simple yet delicious right pancake recipe which is ideal as a snack or breakfast.

Ingredients-
1. Cooked Rice (Red rice ) - 1 Cup
2. Rice flour (powdered) - 1 Cup
3. Shallots - 2
4. Cumin - 1/2 tsp
5. Salt to taste
6. Grated coconut - 1/2 Cup

Method of preparation-
Blend together cooked rice,rice powder, cumin and shallots without water. Now this will be in a tight dough consistency. Mix and knead well with grated coconut. Now make small balls out of this. Flatten this balls by placing in palms to 2 inch thickness. Now heat a pan and cook in medium heat until both sides turn slight brown, just like you cook roti. Serve warm with chutney or it tastes great alone as well.
