An exciting and expansive month indeed!
We have Jupiter in full force now in the earth sign of Taurus casting its trine to the other earth signs Virgo and Capricorn. Jupiter will be in sidereal Taurus
The theme will be focused on earthly and material gains, expansion and development of these areas in the macrocosm.
We do still have some tense placements that still create some chaos.
For example, Mars is approaching Rahu, the north node in Pisces called “Angarak Yoga” which is all together not a very favorable energy. So, depending on which house Pisces is for your birth chart expect some conflict and setbacks in those areas.
We will see Venus and the Sun in Aries for the first half of this transit where Venus will be combust until May 7, matters of the heart might feel demanding and exhausting at this time.
An important date is May 9/10 and 11 when the Sun is sidereal Aries and Moon is exalted in Sidereal Taurus- creating a powerful time for the Sun and the Moon. This time is celebrated as Akshaya Triti, a good time for any auspicious and positive deeds like donations, volunteer work and the benefits the masses. It is a time where any donations will multiply many fold to make our inner and outer self more aligned with our soul's purpose.
We have a New Moon, May 8/9 : which is in the nakshatra of Bharani. A nakshatra that is represented by the god of death Yama, that signifies the birth canal, the end of one chapter and the beginning of a new one. That will be a big theme in the first half of this May Jupiter transit, as we can let go of old relationships, patterns, habits, choices and look forward to aligning more with our soul's purpose.
We will have by mid month Sun , and Jupiter all coming together in Taurus while venus transits that last degrees of Aries, this alignment will create much focus around earthly pursuits and depending on what house Jupiter will be for your birth chart, all themes will be around focusing on new abundance and desires.
By the end of the month around the 24/25nd of May we have the full Moon which will bring to light the new creative pursuits and give more 3 dimensional structure to the new beginnings of which the new moon earlier was focused on.
Toward the end of May, Venus enters Taurus its own sign but is combust with Sun’s presence in the sign, however romantic and venusian themes will be more relaxed once it moves into its own sign.
Saturn still is sitting comfortably in Aquarius, now having no planets too close to it. Along with Jupiter Saturn makes an aspect on the sign of Scorpio, so depending on which house Scorpio is for your chart, expect changes and new developments related to that.
Overall I think it's a beautiful start to a 1-year transit of Jupiter in Taurus, as it comes back to this position after 12 years.
